Lindsey is the Communications & Marketing Coordinator at Waterkeeper Alliance where she supports the communications team in managing social media channels, web content, and Waterkeeper Magazine. She works to enhance communications within the organization as well as amplify the work of Waterkeeper Organizations and Affiliates to communities around the world.
Lindsey grew up in Santa Cruz, California, located on the Monterey Bay, where she established her love for the ocean and recognized the importance of clean water. In 2016, she earned a B.S. in Ecology, Behavior and Evolution and a minor in Environmental Systems and Society from UCLA. While at UCLA, her enthusiasm for science provided an opportunity to create her own research in Nicaragua where she studied strawberry poison dart frogs and leaf cutter ants. Her interests moved towards communications while at an internship with Global Green USA working on social media for the Energy Upgrade California campaign.
After graduation, Lindsey was the Communications Coordinator at Ecology Action in Santa Cruz where she implemented a social media schedule, engaged with the public at community outreach events, and provided campaign support for a successful sustainable transportation ballot measure that will provide funds for a 32-mile biking and walking trail.
Lindsey is a new resident of New York City and enjoys utilizing public transportation, experiencing the seasons, and trying as many restaurants as her wallet will allow.
